While other kids where playing on the sand I spent my hours at that water fountain at the far end of the beach. I studied, observed, I wanted to know were the water came from. A simple answer was never sufficient. This thirst for knowledge pushed me to develop multiple interests. After having completed a science high school (Liceo Cantonale, matura C) in Bellinzona, Switzerland, I decided to continue my education in the United States. I had already attended 3rd and 4th grade in New York City and was therefore familiar to the US educational system. I applied to several 4-year graphic design programs at large American University. I was accepted to Penn State University, the University of Chicago, and others but eventually decided for Arizona State University based on their strong design program and knowing that I would have been able to combine technology and creativity.
